Everything that's retro is new. Armed with a certain mystic air, distinctive vocals and a modern candid honesty,
female-fronted Los Angeles based Indie pop band, Elyse and the Aftermath, are soldiering their way to the top of the
music industry one fan at a time. Musically, they've been compared to Blondie, Garbage and a female version of the
Killers. The perfect duality of classical timelessness mashed with the defiance of 2013 rock.
Elyse Haren is music behind the Aftermath. The self-titled debut album was recorded on a shoestring budget, sheer
passion and determination. Mixed by Mark Needham (The Killers, Fleetwood Mac, Green Day), and mastered by
Grundman Mastering (Michael Jackson, Prince, Lady Gaga), The Aftermath, is available on iTunes. They’ve toured
independently across the Southwestern US and played the acclaimed SXSW Music Festival (’09,‘10, '11).
Formed in early 2009, nine months later, they were already sharing the stage with world-renowned pop band Berlin.
With millions of online views, thousands of fans on Facebook and Twitter, multiple song placements (including MTV
and Lifetime), Elyse and the Aftermath are securing a place for themselves in the new music industry.
Elyse, a self-proclaimed real woman with curves, edgy and stylized, she serves as a role model for young women
regarding healthier body images. Elyse has also been dressed by rock fashion designer extraordinaire, Maggie Barry
(Bon Jovi, Ann Wilson, Terri Nunn) and Elyse has been featured on the BCBG Max Azria Group website as a band to
watch in 2012.
They are currently in pre-production for their new EP entitled, The Singles, which has been funded entirely by fans,
with partial proceeds going to the Keep a Breast Foundation. Stay tuned for big news coming from the band to be
announced at their Winning is Giving Holiday Toy and Food Drive at the world famous Troubadour in West
Hollywood on Dec 12th, 2011 @ 9:00pm.
Elyse and the Aftermath is endorsed by the following companies:
Gibson Guitars, Sennheiser Microphones, Get’m Get’m Guitar Straps, D’Addario Strings, Planet Waves Cables, MAC
